While I was occupied with other things, I still took time to watch my ladies of the WNY Flash win the WPS title over the Philadelphia Freedom in penalty kicks.

The one thing I really enjoy about women’s soccer, is the genuine social wellness of being together for good times…. no matter what the standard of play.
While waiting for their opponent, a couple of the ladies were groovin’ to their own tune and got caught as I approached the tunnel… They stopped their dance, but it didn’t stop the team from having a great laugh.
The W-League’s Colorado Force are on the road this week. This photo was taken in Victoria, BC Canada where the ladies fell to the hosts 3:2.

WNY Flash captures first place, and an automatic bye into the WPS Championship game with a 2-0 victory over the Atlanta Beat at Sahlen Stadium in Rochester NY. The match was played on Sunday, August 14th.
I may be the only person who appreciated the mess that became Alex’s hair in the rain and I’m perfectly ok with that.

As a birthday present to me, the WNY Flash captured the WPS regular season championship with a 2-0 win over the Atlanta Beat with Christine Sinclair and Marta scoring. Marta finished the WPS regular season with 10 goals.
Hmm… can we get Alex Morgan her own comic book? Then all my worlds would intersect and my life would be complete. :)
