On Monday, the IOC (International Olympic Committee) came one step closer to approving women’s ski jumping for the 2014 Winter Olympics, but held off on a final decision until after the 2011 World Championships.
There were several attempts to get it included for 2010, even went to the Supreme Court of Canada, but it didn’t happen. Ski jumping is one of only two events in the Winter Olympics that is currently only open to men.
