This is American fencer, Mariel Zagunis. She was the first American to win a gold medal in fencing (female or male) in over a century, when she first won Gold in Athens in 2004. She repeated with Gold again in 2008.
Sure, you think by now, I’d have mentioned at least once, EVERY women’s sport? My son reminded me of one last night I know I haven’t done yet. Fencing!
