Congrats to the Canadian soccer team (shown here playing the USA in a “friendly” match). Tonight they beat Mexico 1-0 in CONCAF World Cup Qualifying match on a goal by Christine Sinclair. They are guaranteed their spot in the next Women’s World Cup.
The USA, which has never NOT qualified, is in trouble, despite beating Costa Rica 3-0 tonight because they were upset by Mexico 1-0 the other week. Now they must battle Italy in a home and home two-games, total goals playoff to see which country gets into the World Cup.
