One of the amusing things of 1960s comics… bestiality and incest were just normally accepted comics ideas for stories.
The sad truth is, Jimmy Olsen actually makes for a pretty hot chick. I can’t belive men in drag used to kick more ass then girls in these old comics.
Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy… Only you could put that wardrobe together (including a wig!) for $2!

Oh, that Grant Morrison… Newsarama is citing sources at DC that the Superman story is getting heavily rebooted in the DCnU.Kal-El Callie-El from the planet Krypton than Clark Kent from Kansas.”

I’ll miss you, red underpants. :(
I’ll miss you.. real Superman.. :(
WHY?!?!??!? DC?!??! WHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY!??!?!?!? T_T
Love the pic!
I think I’m going to endless loop the final 15 minutes of the Smallville finale, it was everything you could want in a Superman, including Lois.
World’s Finest Comics has always held a special place in my heart. I know there is Superman/Batman these days, but it just doesn’t seem the same to me. I always liked that in World’s Finest, like the Justice League, I was getting a lot of bang for my buck. (or my 12 cents as it were). Not just Batman and Robin. Not just Superman. But BOTH in the same comic!
I CAN think of a comic (not Superman/Batman) that I WOULD LOVE to see under the World’s Finest banner again. One that I think WOULD give me that same magic nostalgic feel from the way all the characters have been written lately and their interactions so far… This cover gives you a part of the clue to my dream World’s Finest comic 2011.
I WANT THIS MOVIE!
(with Vixen too!)

The DC Trinity.
They need another [better] series together.
Right after Wonder Woman returns to normal… :PI agree wholeheartedly. Trinity was so disappoint, I had to stop picking it up (at that time I never dropped books) because it just wasn’t good and ended up not really effecting much of anything. And I second that WW opinion.
HEY NOW! Trinity DID bring Tomorrow Woman back into DC Continutity! You know, the great character they’ve used…. D’oh!!! Never mind!
Speaking of the pulps, how about the pulp adventures of Superman and HIS Fab Five?

Well, enough sports for today… I’m sure the comics-loving followers of this tumblr are about ready to leave in droves.
Fear not! As a reward for all my sports posts today, I present the return of SCAN-IT SATURDAY. That day when I sit down with my scanner and rifle through my big collection of comics for things that might have been forgotten or unseen in awhile.
Like, how about that time Superman was the Herald for Galactus? :)
Superman 80-Page Giant #1
There’s only one reason I want this one back and it’s not even on the cover. It’s the “Claire Kent, Alias Super-Sister” story where Superboy got turned into a girl (it was all a dream, of course). I’ve posted almost the whole story on my tumblr before but I still wish I had the actual comic.
Superman Annual #3
We didn’t have a lot of money for comics so I bought a LOT of Annuals and 80-Page Giants (as you’ll see) because you got a lot of bang for your buck. I didn’t realize then that they were all reprints, to me it was always brand new stuff!
I loved the Annuals and Giants with all the wierd Superman and Jimmy Olsen transformations. Big head Superman, old Superman, lion head Superman, Superman as Alfred E. Neuman! (I mean “Goofy” Superman!)… I loved it all. Now I find it funny that “Ugly” Superman was Guy Gardner! LOL
Teaching “Supergirl” to fly, Part 3.
Later, Caitlin rides the bike up to stop a guy with a portable nuke. :)
