Thanks for the correction! I should have known it was too good for the 90s! :)

This was the 80s and not the 90s. By the 90s, Storm was wearing her all-white costume. The mohawk look started in Uncanny X-Men #172 from 1982 with art by Paul Smith and it lasted for only a few years.

Hey, if anyone wants to bring back the 90s in comics, why don’t you start here?

So, the idea behind a series of commissions requested by Mr. Owens, was a group called The Brotherhood, gathered together by The Black Panther to fight some terrible evil.

Reblogging myself from last November based on DCWKA’s posts about POCs in comics and the notion of a Black Avengers.

It’s ridiculous to me to think that comic book creators think a book of kick-ass characters like this (even if you limited it to DC-only or Marvel-only characters) wouldn’t sell like crazy.
