Wonder Woman wallpaper from the DC Universe online MMORPG
This is like one of those things I’m afraid to even say out loud because I’m worried someone at DC will notice but…
How and or why does JH Williams III get special dispensation to keep Batwoman out of all those continuity disrupting, story-telling interrupting crossover “events” that DC has been so fond of since the reboot began. No Court of the Owls (THANK YOU!), no Death of the Family (THANK YOU INFINITY!) and instead gets to carry on with an awesome Wonder Woman-Batwoman team up that only makes me wish he was doing Wonder Woman’s book as well.

When I was growing up, one of my most favorite comics titles was World’s Finest Comics, which starred Superman, Batman, and Robin having adventures together.
I love that the “World’s Finest” title has been brought back to life and even MORE thrilled that it stars maybe my two of my three most favorite comic book characters AND has BOTH George Perez AND Kevin Maguire art in the SAME book every month! (So far!)
If I fell asleep and dreamed up the best comic ever, this would probably be it.
(Though I think THE BEST COMIC EVER would also include Carol Danvers Captain Marvel and be written by Abnett and Lanning, but who knows what I would have to have eaten before bedtime to dream THAT one up!)

I don’t know why I was leery of JH Williams III writing instead of just drawing Batwoman, since I loved Chase so much in her first incarnation which he was also involved with as both writer and artist.
Batwoman is a great book with no real impact that I can tell from being 52-ized and has a great cast of characters I didn’t think I’d see again on a regular basis.

Another comic I actually enjoy from the New DC 52 so far.
On the short list of things that don’t suck about the New DC 52, Starling (and the whole new Birds of Prey comic series) would be one of those things.
