I don’t really have anything against Caitlin Fairchild as a character. I kinda like that she is really supposed to be a nerd who can kind of hulk out when she needs to, which of us nerds doesn’t have that fantasy?
It’s just that, of all the Gen-13 women to make it into the New 52, I thought she was the least interesting of the three compared to Rainmaker and Roxy.

This is like one of those things I’m afraid to even say out loud because I’m worried someone at DC will notice but…
How and or why does JH Williams III get special dispensation to keep Batwoman out of all those continuity disrupting, story-telling interrupting crossover “events” that DC has been so fond of since the reboot began. No Court of the Owls (THANK YOU!), no Death of the Family (THANK YOU INFINITY!) and instead gets to carry on with an awesome Wonder Woman-Batwoman team up that only makes me wish he was doing Wonder Woman’s book as well.

One benefit to the Avengers movie (more than Iron Man 2 did for it) was the big push it gave (seemingly) to the Black Widow in the comics line. It seems I see her in almost EVERY Marvel book these days!

One of the comics I’m really having fun with lately is Critter from Big Dog Ink. It’s just a fun, popcorn type of read in a new universe without a ton of backstory and continuity to worry about.

Hurricane Sandy wasn’t all bad to me. My company wanted me to work so they put us up in a hotel in PA for three days. During that time, I found a Bargain Bookstore that had a TON of Marvel Graphic Novels at like half price or better. I picked up two volumes of the NextWave series from Warren Ellis and Stuart Immonen and starring the one-time Captain Marvel, Monica Rambeau.

When I was growing up, one of my most favorite comics titles was World’s Finest Comics, which starred Superman, Batman, and Robin having adventures together.
I love that the “World’s Finest” title has been brought back to life and even MORE thrilled that it stars maybe my two of my three most favorite comic book characters AND has BOTH George Perez AND Kevin Maguire art in the SAME book every month! (So far!)
If I fell asleep and dreamed up the best comic ever, this would probably be it.
(Though I think THE BEST COMIC EVER would also include Carol Danvers Captain Marvel and be written by Abnett and Lanning, but who knows what I would have to have eaten before bedtime to dream THAT one up!)
