This is my page dedicated to the women of the comic books and the sports fields that I admire. Pictures, thoughts, comments, etc. Inspired by all the great comic book tumblrs I've found!

So, it was interesting to see the Morehead State women’s basketball team getting some attention at a national level this year. (I’ll explain why in the next post.)
They first got on my radar a few years back because of a player named Megan Gearhart, a three-point shooting guard who had been named Miss Basketball Kentucky before going to MSU to play college ball. That whole title fascinated me because I had these images in my head of her in basketball uniform, carrying roses, doing pageant waves as she walked down a runway with someone singing “Here she is.. Miss Kentucky Basketball…” The idea amused me and I started following her and her team.
After she graduated/retired, I still kept tabs as they got a great freshman, Chynna Bozeman, a forward of all things! (I mean, me liking a forward? Eh, it happens!) She herself, in turn, went on to be a star player for Morehead State including OVC (Ohio Valley Conference) Player of the Year.
Morehead State was 21-10 this year in the OVC.
