Here is Hannah McNulty, the first girl to play on a boy’s high school basketball team, giving some of her teammates “the business” in the locker room. :)
She had played for the Stowe’s girls high school team for three years, but for her senior year, due to injuries and academic ineligibilities, Stowe couldn’t field a girls basketball team this year. She could either give up basketball, transfer to another school (where under Vermont rules, she could have only played JV) or try out for the boy’s team. After 3 games, the coach made her a starter and she’s been a start ever since.
She also was the goalie for Stowe’s girls soccer team which won a state championship. She’ll be playing both soccer AND basketball in college at Suffolk University.
